So we stayed with Bob & Melissa, had some excellent meals, and all we did was photograph the cats.

At the cabin, trees get treated for pine beetle (the pink ribbons are a bad thing)

But the cabin is almost fun to visit again!!!

We actually had a small amount of time to relax.

But there are always things to do, like cut down the trees that have already been killed by pine beetle.

Logan is a great lumberjack- my grandfather would cut wood for hours and Logan is doing a great job filling his shoes.

On our way back to SLC, we stopped to hike Ruth's lake but didn't make it too far because the trail was buried in snow.

Ruth's lake is the trail Logan and I (along with Tera and Lara) walked when we first started dating and visited the cabin almost 5 years ago.

I married a good one.

I just couldn't believe how much snow was still there in JUNE! This is some of the run-off.

And again- just to prove the point

Logan and I got these cool new shoes! They're meant for "barefooting sports" like running and hiking (and kayaking, etc). They are WONDERFUL (but not so much in snow- my feet got very cold)

They leave these really cool foot prints that make it look like you are actually barefoot.

Then we visit Steve and Thelxi and finally meet KOUK!

She is adorable, fits perfectly in her new family, and couldn't be more lucky then to have Steve and Thelxi doting on her.
