Nothing helps wash down some tots more than a cold one,
especially when that cold one has your last name on it.
Yes, my friends and related Hauensteins alike, the Hauenstein beer has officially made it to Seattle.
With a lot of help from a groovy cat named Joe and his glorious restaurant, we were able to get a shipment of these bottles in from New Ulm, Minnesota. I basically sent an email out to him just seeing if he could find a distributor that would ship the beer out here. I didn't hear from him for about three weeks, but amazingly he wrote back and told me (very excitedly) that he COULD get the beer in! Hoorah!
Seattle will never be the same!

It actually has some depth to it as far as lagers go. There's a bunch of reviews on Beer Advocate that claim it's much better than most adjunct lagers. You guys might have a good chance of trying it when you come here in July!

Can't wait to try it this summer. There's something special about having a unique relationship with a product. I always enjoyed Bitburg Pilsner after living a cuople of blocks from the brewery in Bitburg, Germany in '77.
